We fully appreciate
that potential clients like to know something about who they
would be dealing with and something about that firm's background
and we are therefore pleased to provide the following background
information in this regard.
The proprietor and principal of French
Mortgage Connection is Ian Mullis BA(Hons) Cert FPS.
Ian deals with most
initial enquiries received by the firm and personally deals
with all initial email and most telephone contact with clients
who have full mortgage applications actually underway with
us. This gives our clients an unrivalled degree of "continuity"
in their dealings with us.

French Mortgage Connection
(FMC) have been involved in arranging French mortgages, as specialist
mortgage brokers, for many years now and Ian Mullis has authored
articles on the French property market and French mortgages for several
specialist financial services periodicals, including the L.I.A.'s
(Life Insurance Association's) "Prospect" magazine and
the mortgage magazine "Mortgage Solutions" (published
by the publishers of "Investment Week" & "International
Investment"). Copies of these articles are available upon request.
In addition, details of FMC have been featured in the past in, amongst
other national newspapers, The
Times newspaper, by the financial journalist Clare Stewart,
who contacts us for the latest information on French mortgages when
writing articles on the French property market for The
Times.
Ian Mullis owns property
personally in France, and we also have an office presence there
(in Dept 36, to be precise).
FMC have also assisted
several French banks in "designing" mortgage schemes specifically
of interest to / relevance for UK and other Non Resident borrowers,
including "Interest Only" lending schemes without
any need for a "repayment vehicle", which are not generally
commonly available mortgage products in France, and allow maximum
fiscal advantages in certain circumstances.
Ian Mullis read Economics
at University and holds the full Financial Planning Certificate
(FPC) of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)and is a member
of the Personal Finance Society by diploma - the abbreviated designation
title for which is "CertFPS".
French Mortgage Connection are
retained by many leading Estate Agents and Property Finding Agents
(UK and French based) and by specialist lawyers, who deal with the
French market, to handle their mortgage business and enquiries,
along with other firms and professionals associated with the French
market. We are also retained by various internet sites to provide
their French mortgage services and mortgage enquiry functions (see
the Links section of out site).
Many UK based Independent
Financial Advisers (IFAs) and Company Representatives from major
UK insurance groups also refer clients to French Mortgage Connection,
in recognition of the fact that Euro mortgages are a specialist
field, outside of most financial advisers' normal experience and
expertise. In these cases, any related Life Insurance requirements
will normally be handled by the clients' existing financial adviser.
Although the majority of our business still comes from our many professional
connections and from "word of mouth" recommendations from existing
clients, an increasing number of new clients now come across our services
directly off this Website - so if that includes you, then you will be
most welcome should you wish to contact us with your requirements.
Our full contact details are on the home page and we offer a rapid decision
in principle service, free and with no obligation, which you can access
by navigating to the Decisions in Principle part of this website.
Please note that we do
not currently handle mortgage cases which are below
€ 80,000 euros.
